Does the beep of the telephone make us addict?
Some personal reflections on the almost morbid relationship with the unmistakable sound of the telephone beep.

I am so used to the telephone by now, that I almost consider it as an integral part of our body. I rarely leave the house without it.
But the most disconcerting thing is the addiction that the phone beep creates in me. The curiosity of having to check who is looking for me, be it a friend, a work message or simply an advertisement. How to get rid of this addiction?
Maybe the best thing is to just turn off the phone. What if I get an important message?
