I Stopped Dreaming

A poem for the great dreamers, in the hope that they can live the present moment as an expression of the most beautiful gift of life.

I stopped dreaming
because my dreams were too far from what I am.
I stopped dreaming
because through dreams I was missing a great piece of reality.
I stopped dreaming because dreams bring no truth.
I stopped dreaming
because reality is much more beautiful
of the greatest dream I could have imagined
.

My Comment to the Poetry

I have always been a great dreamer, with my feet half on the ground and half in the air. In my heart, I have always had many dreams, some small and some big. These dreams, however, forced me to build an image of myself far from the reality. I lived in dreams, in the constant hope that they could be realized.

Then, something happened, which forced me to immerse myself in reality.

And that's where I discovered how much more beautiful is the life I live than the biggest dream I could have imagined.

This discovery led me to write the poem: I Stopped Dreaming.
